A personal exhibition of paintings “Sky of Attica” by artist Rina Grie will be held in Moscow from August 10 to September 7.
At 12:00, the doors of the exhibition space on Znamenka will open, where paintings from the Clouds series and abstract works from the last period will be presented.
The artist has been painting the sky for the last 6 years, and the motif is surprisingly changing under the influence of a deep study of comparative mythology. From realistic celestial landscapes to expressive graphic works.
The exhibited works are dedicated to the archetypes of the Greek epic, which Carl Jung took as the basis of a holistic psyche.
We won't see the usual plots and characters. The author explores the states present in each of us - the wisdom of Athena, the attraction of Aphrodite, the boundlessness and power of Heaven itself, and many others. They can be guessed in the color spots and lines that appear on the white canvas and form clouds. Infinitely diverse, like the life of the sky itself.
The viewer is invited to come into contact with the eternal categories and feel the response in himself before reading the description of the archetype in the explication.
In addition to the exhibition, you will find an author's program — curated guided tours and artist talk.
