The performances are an exploration of women's sensual experience in a series of DRESS-CODE practices using special dresses. In the course of many years of studying the female image in the culture and mythology of famous civilizations, the author has formed an idea of the modern woman as the keeper of all accumulated experience, the source of life and the bearer of a special role in modern conditions.
Each part of the DRESS-CODE project is a complete artistic statement expressed through performance art. This is a dress that reflects the current issue of the author of the project.
Through this research, the artist finds an opportunity to gain inner integrity, to rely on the experience of “great mothers.” He finds an understanding of roles in his life, and roles in a global sense — within the framework of globalization and the conditions of changed ethnic traditions.
Clothing is the most accessible way for any woman to express herself at all times. The author reveals the theme of femininity through his sensual experience as an artist and fashion designer, not as a cultural scientist. When creating dresses, he often resorts to ancient archetypal elements.
The shape of the hem is a symbolic Neolithic circular ornament. A symbol that was used to separate the world of departed souls. According to legend, the one who overcame the spiritual crisis could overcome the labyrinth.
In the current situation of social isolation, everyone's world is becoming like a complex multi-level maze. And it takes a lot of effort to get in touch with another person. But his internal position is often not taken into account, because the former connections in society, the need to enter into a relationship, for the most part remained the same.
